Removal of J D Harrell

I have removed J D Harrell from the Vietnam War Honor Roll simply because I have not found any evidence he had a connection to Grosvenor, Brown County, Texas. It seems probable that Groves, the town where his parents lived in Jefferson County, Texas, was confused with Grosvenor.

J. D. Harrell born 6 November 1929 in Silsbee, Hardin County, Texas to Myrtie Lee Key (b. 1904 Bronson, Sabine County, Texas - d. 1992 Goochland, Goochland County, Virginia and body donated to science) and Joseph L 'Jodie' Harrell (b. 1898 Silsbee, Hardin County, Texas - d. 1973 Port Arthur, Jefferson County, Texas). His form 1300, Report of Casualty, has his home of record as Grosvenor, Texas in 1960 and his wife, Mrs. Stella G. Master Sergeant J. D. Harrell 18306499 US Army Headquarters and Headquarters Company 2nd Battalion 502nd Infantry101st Airborne Division. Working on a Vietnam tour which began on 8 July 1965. On May 4, 1966, a U.S. Army helicopter CH-47A 64-13138 from the 147th Assault Support Helicopter Company crashed during a transport mission 13 nautical miles northwest of Nhon Co, Quang Duc Province, South Vietnam while deploying to a forward base. The passengers were from 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry of the 101st Airborne Division. Eyewitnesses agreed for the most part that there were flames coming from the rear of the aircraft and it seemed to have no forward airspeed and was spinning and falling straight down. There is evidence that the pilot attempted to flare the helicopter prior to impact to no avail, the aircraft crashing on its left side and was consumed by fire. There were no survivors. [Taken from https://www.vvmf.org/Wall-of-Faces/] MSgt Harrell was a passenger and was killed in the crash, his remains were recovered and identified on 10 May 1966 and repatriated to America and buried in the Arlington National Cemetery at Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia on Tuesday 17 May 1966.
